Chicago-based AI technology startup Ludex has raised $8M in Seed funding to expand its operations and accelerate growth. The company provides a trading card scanning and price guide app that allows collectors to scan, value, and digitally organize their trading card collections. The app currently supports graded and ungraded cards of baseball, basketball, football, and hockey, with soccer, wrestling, MMA, and racing coming soon.
Ludex’s app is free to download for iOS and Android, and has already built a community of over 200,000 users, with continued growth expected. The company was founded in 2021 by serial entrepreneur Brian Ludden and counts former football player Brian Urlacher among its investors.
The app’s AI technology enables collectors to accurately scan and value their collections, while also offering digital organization tools. Non-sports categories supported include Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon, with comic books, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Star Wars, and Marvel coming soon. With Ludex’s innovative app, collectors can manage and track their collections with ease, making it a valuable tool for anyone interested in trading cards.
