As Blackpool prepares for the summer vacation season, LancsLive decided to test this technology by requesting ChatGPT to organize an inexpensive day trip to the resort, asking: “Can you plan a cheap day out in Blackpool for me?”
Within moments, a seven-step itinerary was generated, with some intriguing suggestions, such as visiting the illuminations that concluded months prior, on January 2nd.
Notably, ChatGPT paid attention to the term “cheap,” intentionally excluding some of Blackpool’s most famous and pricey attractions.
Pleasure Beach, The Sandcastle, SeaLife Centre, Madame Tussauds, and Blackpool Zoo didn’t make the list. Instead, the AI recommended several free or cost-effective activities, like taking a leisurely walk through Winter Gardens or exploring the promenade.
