BrokerTech Ventures (BTV), a Des Moines, Iowa-based broker-led platform and accelerator initiative, has teamed up with insurtech venture capital firm ManchesterStory Group to establish the BrokerTech Fund, LP. This venture capital fund, totaling $34 million, is dedicated to early-stage insurtech firms creating broker-focused technological solutions. Limited partners in the fund include Holmes Murphy, M3 Insurance, Baldwin Risk Partners, UNICO Group, IMA Financial Group, Christensen Group, and The Graham Company.
As the fund’s General Partner, ManchesterStory is a leading early-stage venture capital company overseeing more than $225 million in committed capital across various funds, concentrating on emerging technologies in insurance, financial services, and healthcare sectors.
Launched in 2019, BrokerTech Ventures is a broker-driven platform and accelerator program committed to bringing innovation to the insurance brokerage industry. BTV invests in research and testing for selected startups, offers access to experienced industry mentors, and supports the scaling of technology to market through brokerage distribution channels.
