LONDON, May 16, 2023 – Clarivate Plc (NYSE: CLVT), recognized globally for connecting people and organizations with reliable intelligence that enables transformation, has unveiled the Clarivate Brand Landscape Analyzer. The company also announced the development of the Clarivate Trademark Watch Analyzer. These tools are designed to help brand professionals assess brand risk holistically, making trademark intelligence more actionable.
In 2022, nearly 12 million new trademark applications were filed, leading to a surge in data sets for brand and trademark professionals. These tools will aid IP professionals to concentrate on making informed decisions to establish and safeguard their trademarks, thereby reducing the time required for this process from days to mere minutes. These new tools utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze and deliver insights from over 140 million trademark records and more than 6.2 million trademark office and court decisions. This AI is built on extensive proprietary content and is trained by Clarivate’s internal search experts.
Leveraging proprietary, patented technologies, including AI and machine learning, the Brand Landscape Analyzer merges trademarks, case law, and competitive intelligence data. This fusion allows IP professionals to receive real-time risk assessment for future trademark candidates. The tool equips businesses with a broad understanding of potential risks to their brand, offering litigation maps, examples of usage, and similarity assessments. The aim is to enhance how IP professionals search for and protect new trademarks by integrating data and decisions into one workflow.
The Trademark Watch Analyzer, currently in development, is designed to address the challenges trademark owners face in safeguarding their trademarks. This tool combines Clarivate’s proprietary, global trademark, and case law data with in-house IP expertise. It utilizes leading AI technology to deliver faster and more accurate responses to crucial business queries. Automated alerts and global monitoring will empower trademark owners to oversee and protect global brands confidently.
