Accenture, a leading consulting firm, has announced a significant investment of $3 billion in its data and artificial intelligence (AI) practice over the course of three years. This strategic move aims to strengthen Accenture’s AI capabilities and drive innovation in the field. Alongside the investment, the company has unveiled a cutting-edge platform called AI Navigator for Enterprise, which harnesses generative AI technology.
The investment will be allocated towards various areas, including acquisitions, business solutions, ecosystem alliances, resources, talent, and ventures. Accenture’s goal is to enhance and develop new skills and capabilities in diagnostic, predictive, and generative AI. By combining hiring initiatives, acquisitions, and comprehensive training programs, the data and AI practice will double its talent pool, expanding its team to include 80,000 professionals specialized in AI.
This substantial investment empowers Accenture to offer novel solutions to businesses across 19 sectors, catering to their unique needs and challenges. Moreover, the investment will support research and development efforts at Accenture’s Centre for Advanced AI, enabling the maximization of value derived from generative AI and other AI technologies.
